Objective 

Repair roofs up to a safe standard for vulnerable households affected by Hurricane Irma 

Beneficiaries 
  • Vulnerable households unable to repair and rebuild roofs themselves, including women-led households 
  • Local tradesmen trained and hired to help with roof repairs 
Approach
REPAIR REPAIR about 200 roofs in hurricane-damaged areas
RECONSTRUCT RECONSTRUCT roofs to safe, higher-quality standards
PROVIDE PROVIDE on-the-job work experience to local tradesmen
IMPROVE IMPROVE knowledge of hurricane-resistant building practices
