Repairs completed at Sister Regina Primary PHILIPSBURG--With the necessary operational repairs now complete, Sr. Regina Primary School pupils are now expected to finish off the 2020/2021 school year in refurbished buildings that are safer, watertight, and more hurricane-resilient. The works at Sr. Regina were part of the school repair activities under Emergency Recovery Project I of the St Maarten Trust Fund, which is funded by the government of the Netherlands, managed by the World Bank and implemented by the National Recovery Program Bureau (NRPB).

Enhancements, minor repairs to hurricane shelters completed PHILIPSBURG--Families seeking refuge at designated hurricane shelters in the country will enjoy a bit more comfort during their stay now that minor repairs and upgrades have been completed as part of the Shelter Repairs Activity of the Netherlands financed St. Maarten Trust Fund.

Steering Committee Agrees on the Importance of Maintaining Focus on Rehabilitating Critical Infrastructure March 5, 2021—The Steering Committee of the Sint Maarten Recovery, Reconstruction and Resilience Trust Fund met virtually and was joined by Prime Minister Jacobs, Minister of Finance Irion of Sint Maarten and State Secretary Knops of the Netherlands in a High Level Meeting. The High Level Meeting focused in particular on the sustainability of projects critical for Sint Maarten’s development.
