NRPB prepares to implement Fostering Resilient Learning Project

As the NRPB prepares to implement the Fostering Resilient Learning Project (FRLP), it published the project’s Environmental and Social Commitment Plan (ESCP) on its website

The upcoming Fostering Resilient Learning Project will reconstruct the Philipsburg Jubilee Library and Sister Marie Laurence Primary School, as well as restore and reconstruct Charles Leopold Bell Primary School. Additionally, the project will introduce a management information system within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport (ECYS). With these activities, the project aims to enhance Sint Maarten’s cultural and educational sectors through more resilient physical and digital infrastructure.

Comprising one of several safeguard instruments, the ESCP summarizes measures and actions to ensure that the project minimizes all potential risks to the environment and local communities. These measures are in accordance with the World Bank’s environmental and social standards, a series of guidelines followed for the implementation of all Trust Fund projects.
