EMERGENCY INCOME SUPPORT AND TRAINING PROJECT

Objective 

Provide temporary income support, improve the employability of affected beneficiaries in targeted sectors, and strengthen the social protection system’s capacity for shock-response and protection of the poor 

Beneficiaries 
  • About 1,800 program beneficiaries during the 18-month implementation period receive vocational training in professional areas  
  • Under-employed and unemployed populations in targeted sectors, with an emphasis on women and youth 
Approach
OFFER OFFER in-class theoretical and practical training and training in socioemotional skills
PROVIDE PROVIDE temporary income support (stipend) to training participants, including health insurance
DESIGN DESIGN and develop a social registry for individuals and households, helping to identify those in long-term poverty
