World Bank and National Recovery Program Bureau sign restructured US$35 million Enterprise Support Project
On March 5th, 2020, the restructured Enterprise Support Project for US$35 million was signed by the World Bank and the National Recovery Program Bureau of Sint Maarten. The Enterprise Support Project (ESP) offers financial support to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Sint Maarten.
Through the project, eligible MSMEs have access to loans and grants for working capital, asset repairs and resiliency investments. The project is aimed primarily at MSMEs in the tourism sector; for example, restaurants, shops, creative industries, and tour operators. Non-tourism businesses may include ventures in agro-processing, equipment supply, retail, business, or health services. An analytical study on financial solutions to strengthen business disaster resilience will be conducted too.
