    School repairs set to kick off with first three schools; Sr. Regina, St. Joseph and Leonald Conner Operational repairs to nineteen schools, prioritized by the  Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth, and Sport (MECYS) are set to begin under the School Repairs activity of the Sint Maarten Trust Fund. Working in close collaboration with MECYS, various school boards and school managers, the National Recovery Program Bureau (NRPB) has been intensively preparing to ensure a smooth process with as minimal disruption as possible to students, parents and teachers.

    THE BOOK BUS - Philipsburg Jubilee Library on wheels brings books closer to community The ‘book bus’ satellite branch of the Philipsburg Jubilee library (PJL) is a blessing for anyone who loves to read and could benefit from easier access to reading materials, especially now that COVID-restrictions limit the number of people allowed in the library. The vehicle no longer runs but the interior was refurbished and now serves as a mini library.

    Sint Maarten Trust Fund Supports Education and Child Protection Systems PHILIPSBURG, October 26, 2020— The Child Resilience and Protection Project, a new US$5 million project funded by the Sint Maarten Recovery, Reconstruction and Resilience Trust Fund, has been approved. The Trust Fund is financed by the Government of the Netherlands and managed by the World Bank.
